Lubravisc® Bio: HA gel injections for knees

The hyaluronic acid found in joint fluid and cartilage acts as a lubricant and shock absorber.

The quality of hyaluronic acid deteriorates in osteoarthritis of the knee joint, reducing its ability to protect and lubricate the joint and tissues.

Lubravisc® Bio is a viscoelastic substance that is injected into the knee joint to treat mild to moderate osteoarthritis.

Lubravisc® Bio lubricates and protects cells and tissues by mimicking and replacing the naturally occurring hyaluronic acid.

Treatment is simple: injection of 2 ml Lubravisc® Bio solution into the knee joint, once a week, for three consecutive weeks, with follow-up after 6 months if needed.

Lubravisc® Bio has also been tested on hip, shoulder, ankle and temporomandibular joints.
