WELCOME TO OUR PRODUCTION FACILITY

Research, development and manufacturing, at the same site for over 30 years.

Our production facility is situated merely 200 meters from the sea, facing the pure waters of the Scandinavian archipelago.

With 6,000m2, we have the capacity for manufacturing all BOHUS products for clients across the world, now and in the future. BOHUS meets the requirements of the Medical Device Directive (MDD 93/42/eec) and our facility is designed in accordance with ISO 14644.

ON SITE R&D

BOHUS R&D department works continuously with innovations and development of new solutions for our three disciplines; ophthalmics, aesthetics and orthopedics.

Hyaluronic acid is present in all organs of the body and plays a crucial role in various physiological processes. This broad distribution offers significant potential for new applications that can enhance the quality of life for patients, utilising products that are both pure and naturally compatible with the human body.

OUR MANUFACTURING PROCESS

Our facility is meticulously organised into two distinct zones: the green zone and the blue zone, each representing cleanrooms with varying standards of cleanliness. The green zone adheres to ISO Class 5 and 6 standards, while the blue zone is certified to ISO Class 7. 

In our chemical departments, hyaluronic acid raw material undergoes initial processing. It is then transferred to our pharmaceutical departments, where it is developed into high-quality final products. Our products are then carefully packaged and distributed to hospitals and clinics worldwide, ensuring safety and efficacy at every stage.
